Daily update is a report or summary of events, progress, or changes that happen on a regular basis. For example, a team might provide a daily update to stakeholders during morning meetings.
To enable an action to send daily updates, go to the Actions console and click Develop in the top menu. Then, in the Intents section, click + and select the Daily updates intent. You can also add the Daily updates subscription flow to a scene in the Scenes tab.
When a user invokes an intent that you’ve configured as a daily update, they receive a notification on their device that prompts them to subscribe to your Action’s daily updates. This prompt can appear mid-conversation, as a suggestion chip after they exit your Action successfully, or as a part of a custom greeting.
Once a user has subscribed to your daily updates, the notifications they receive will show up on their device every day at their scheduled time. To avoid annoying your users, make sure to keep your notifications short and useful by avoiding repeating the same information over and over again. You should only offer a daily update subscription if it will give your users valuable content that they want to see on a regular basis.
