Late-breaking is designed to allow researchers whose work is not ready by the general abstract submission deadline the opportunity to present their results at FEBS Congress. The top-scoring late-breaking scientific abstracts will have the opportunity to be selected for a platform presentation (oral) or poster exhibition.
Submitted abstracts must report on the latest, relevant and important research in areas of common interest to the Congress scientific audience. Late-breaking abstracts are evaluated on their contribution and impact, originality, relevance, and significance to CHI 2023. LBWs are semi-archival and authors may reuse the content of their LBW for other peer-reviewed venues, including future CHI full paper submissions.
The abstract title should clearly indicate the main focus of your work, be concise and avoid jargon. There is a 200-character limit and author information is counted in this total. If you are submitting multiple abstracts, please ensure that the title is the same for each.
Presenting Authors who are presenting a LBW must be registered for the Congress by May 24 in order to have their abstract assessed and included in the program. A presenting author may appear on up to two abstracts, but they must be different – one research and one education. If the same registrant is also the presenting author on both an abstract that was submitted for the LBW call and an abstract that was submitted in the main abstract call, one of these abstracts must be withdrawn. All presenting authors of accepted abstracts must also complete their financial disclosure by Tuesday, June 17 (if not already done). Poster printing and travel/hotel accommodations and fees are the responsibility of the presenter.
